The Río Celeste tour it’s a regular hike where you don’t need exceptional physical condition. The hike is a round trip on a trail of 6 kilometers length and around 580 steps.

The hike starts on the entrance of Volcan Tenorio National Park in a rain forest with some parts of cloudy forest with a rich biodiversity ecosystem. It takes 1 hour to get to the Río Celeste Waterfall which is one of the most important attractions at the park. Also, there is another important place called “Los Teñideros” it takes another hour to get there. At this place, in the river there is a chemical reaction which makes him gets a precious light blue colored characteristic of this place.

The used trails are made of steps of medium intensity. It’s made of concrete, crushed stone and in some places are natural (dirt). The trails count with maintenance and are good spots to practice photography!
