Safari float and Waterfall tour
This was a wonderful experience with our guide, Wilbert. The safari float was very peaceful with beautiful scenery. Wilbert would point out wildlife and birds along the way. We saw monkeys and tuscans! We had a delicious authentic Costa Rican snack before we embarked on the hike to the La Fortuna waterfall! We walked down to 500 stairs to the beautiful powerful fall and we were able to swim and relax. We trekked back up the 500 stairs 🫠 and Wilbert took us to a wonderful restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious authentic meal. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed Wilbert's company!

Good day
The safari float was awesome. Raul was very personable and great with the kids. He stopped for them to swim and helped them spot animals. They loved it. The snacks and coffee at the little farm were just perfect!
The second part of the trip was just ok.

Paddling along
Eight friends took this tour with Roy and Pepe as our guides. Both were so knowledgeable about the area and pointed out features and wildlife along the way. They were amazingly informative. We stopped for a delicious snack including plantains and cheese, with fresh fruit juices. Then, to the waterfall (lots of steps) and a refreshing rain shower. Finally, the most delicious local lunch! Definitely a fabulous day!

The day was fantastic. Saw plenty of wildlife including many birds, lizards and lots of monkeys. Our guide Raul made the whole day fun and informative. Even entertaining us with a priceless backwards dive out of the raft. Good times. Highly recommend.

Go on the float trip!
The float trip was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. We loved floating down the river and learning about the ecosystem of the area. We spotted a snake, a sloth, several toucans, a large troop of howler monkeys, and even a tayra!!!! Roy was our guide and he was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable and passionate. It was a wonderful experience and it ended at a farm with an outstanding snack! The farm provided homemade cheese slices, fried plantains, and the best banana bread in the world. We were given options of fresh squeezed juices or coffee to wash down our treats. Just a glorious morning!!!
Our tour continued to La Fortuna Waterfall, which was beautiful. Those stairs are no joke. After, we were taken into La Fortuna to have lunch at one of the local restaurants. The casado was excellent and I saw they provided other options to other guests with different tastes.

Loved it!
This was so much fun! We saw lots of animals on our safari tour; monkeys, cayman, owls, iguanas, turtles, toucans! Hector and Roy were very knowledgeable, I was on Hectors boat and he had the best stories! The farm lunch after was so delicious and a true authentic local experience. I was surprised there was some turquoise colored water here because I hadn’t seen any in the pictures. The pool under the waterfall was pretty cold but it was a little warmer the further away from the waterfall you go.

Wonderful trip
It was a wonderful trip down the river. We saw many animals and learned a lot about the community, the native people, and their customs. We also enjoyed interacting with the guides (Carlos & Hector) and the monkies along the river. The trip down to the Falls was also great. Lunch was a real treat. Great guides.

Best way to see animals and locals
We had a great time with our very polite driver, Hector, and our extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and fun guide, Fabrizio. We were picked up from our hotel in La Fortuna for this private tour with just our family of three, then drove to the raft launch. We floated and paddled down a moving river and saw several birds (Kingfisher, yellow belly flycatcher, heron, and a bare-throated tiger heron that was eating a fish), a Howler monkey troop with at least 6 monkeys, 2 river otters, and a sloth that moved. Fabrizio also pointed out several reptiles like 2 iguana and a Basilisk lizard. We finished the float and went to a local family farm for an incredible snack on plantains, cheese, yucca bread, and juice before heading to the La Fortuna Waterfall. The family farm was 100% farm-to-table and everyone was very friendly. At La Fortuna waterfall, Fabrizio kindly took a few family photos for us, gave us instructions for the rest of the day, then connected us with our next guide, Erica. Erica had a group of 6 and we joined that group for the waterfall and lunch. Erica was also very knowledgeable and shared many facts about Costa Rica and the La Fortuna Waterfall. The waterfall was magnificent, the water was cold and there were about 400-500 stairs down and back up. We had about an hour to swim and marvel at the waterfall, then a chance to change to dry clothes. We went to lunch about ten minutes away and it was delicious. This was one of the best days of out trip. We really felt like we got to see authentic Tico life and experience the Pura Vida. I would request our guides again.
