Nature Lover Combo 1 (Hanging Bridges + La Fortuna Waterfall + Lunch + Hike to Arenal Volcano)

This tour is definitely recommended. Everything was great and exceeded expectations. Highlights included but not limited to: walking the hanging bridges, swimming at the base of La Fortuna waterfall, our guide Will got tons of wildlife pictures for everyone through his scope, and lunch was delicious.

The service was great, and our guide and driver were outstanding! The waterfall was beautiful, and the park/volcano walks were great! I would note that the hanging bridges experience is something that I would get a private guide if I were to do it again just because you get more control of the pace, which is really important in park like this with so many other groups and so many activities that you are trying to get to in one day

Wonderful experience. The guide was knowledgeable, the locations beautiful, and the lunch delicious. Be prepared for a lot of physical activity - we definitely felt it the next day, but it was totally worth it.

The whole day was enjoyable. You get your moneys worth on this tour! Volcán hike, hanging bridges with wildlife spotting, local lunch, and the waterfall! Will was such a wonderful bilingual tour guide. He made conversation with everyone, had a lot of knowledge about the local flora and fauna, and made us all feel included. They also picked me up at my hotel since I was traveling sans car, and this was seamless.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Be aware, it’s lots of walking so plan accordingly. We walked through the hanging bridges park while it was raining, which made the experience more beautiful and magical.

We saw plenty of wild life from sloths, frogs, tarantulas, pigs, different birds, and different ant species.

At the waterfall, they have a zone down the stream where you can swim with rainbow trout. The entire tour was wonderful. I wouldn’t recommend for people with mobility issues. The waterfall alone has approximately 500 steps you have to walk down to the waterfall, then back up to the parking lot.

Jose took us hiking around Mistico Park and Arenal Volcano, where he shared fascinating insights about the animals and local history. He was very knowledgeable and even captured amazing photos of both us and the wildlife. Midway through the day, we stopped for a delicious traditional lunch before continuing our adventure. Jose kept the experience lighthearted with his jokes and made sure we fully enjoyed the waterfall (which turned out to be surprisingly cold!). It was a full and rewarding 8 hours—quick in how it flew by, but packed with experiences. I had an amazing time and highly recommend it!

This tour was absolutely incredible! Our guide, Juan Carlos, and driver, Argenis, made the experience unforgettable. Juan Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife—he pointed out sloths, monkeys, spiders, toucans, and so much more with such detail and enthusiasm. Walking through the hanging bridges was magical, and the waterfall was truly breathtaking. On top of it all, the food was a solid 10/10. Everything about this tour was well organized, safe, and full of adventure. Highly recommend to anyone visiting—you won’t regret it

Juan Carlos was an outstanding guide and so invested in the history of every place we visited throughout the tour. During the hanging bridges tour he was determined that we get to experience CR’s flora and fauna to the best that we could. Such a knowledgeable and pleasant tour guide. For lunch we had a delicious plate of casado that came with a side of homemade hot salsa which is a must try. Overall wonderful experience would definitely recommend this tour for anyone traveling to CR in the future.

Pick up at the hotel was on time. Our driver and tour guide (Chino) were excellent! He was very knowledgeable, professional, and always made safety a priority. What made the experience even more special was that he took videos and pictures of the beautiful nature throughout the tour and shared them with the group at the end. A thoughtful touch that we truly appreciated.

All of the activities were super fun. Juan Carlos was very knowledgeable and professional. He looked for snakes frogs and other animals along the way and made sure we saw them with his binocular. You have to experience the hanging bridges. The first one can be a little scary as it rocked left and right. But after a couple ones, then it was fun. The hiking to the volcano was a good exercise. Lunch was excellent and fresh. Then the waterfalls, you have to get into the water. It seemed cold but it really felt good. 500 steps up and down you can do it.

Such a fun experience! Definitely need to be okay with lots of hiking and steps. It was very doable for my partner and I we are both 24

Brian was really knowledgeable, informative and patient with my group. We wanted to take a lot of photos and videos and he helped with them a lot! He spotted all the insects and wildlife that we couldn’t see. It was an unforgettable experience and I would totally recommend it!

We had an amazing experience with Chino as our tour guide! He has such a good eye for photography and captured incredible moments for us throughout the day. On top of that, his knowledge about the area, nature, and local culture made the whole tour so much more interesting and memorable. Honestly, if I had tried to do this on my own, it would have been nothing like this—I’m really glad we decided to go with the tour operator instead.

The hanging bridges were a little scary at first, but so much fun once we got going. The highlight of the day was definitely the Fortuna Waterfall—it was breathtaking and an absolute must-see. Lunch was delicious, a perfect taste of traditional Costa Rican food.

My only regret is not using the transportation they provided. Since I was staying at Tabacón, the tour literally started right next to our hotel, which would have made things so much easier.

All in all, this tour exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend booking with Chino if you want a truly memorable experience!

Despite the rain, I had a great and smooth experience with this tour. Ronald is a prompt, safe, and pleasant driver. Bryan is a knowledgeable, compassionate, and experienced tour guide. Bryan has an eye for spotting wildlife and making the tour a great experience for my group and the people around us.

Our tour guide was JuanCarlos and our driver was Argenis. Argenis was very safe and very polite. JuanCarlos also made this experience very enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about his work taking the time to spot various animals and explain the history to us. He was very friendly and personable taking the time to get to know each guest in his group. We literally pulled over on the side of the road twice so he could show us sloths!!

Jose Luis was the absolute best. He knew all the history of the area AND had this crazy talent for spotting animals we never would’ve seen on our own. Thanks to him, we checked off everything on our list—monkeys, sloths, snakes… you name it, we saw it! Such a fun day and honestly one of the highlights of the trip.

Juan Carlos comes highly recommended as a tour guide! He is very knowledgeable and made the forest tour for us come alive! He has an eagle eye for spotting the tiniest of animals!

The best way I can summarize this experience is to say this tour company and specifically our tour guide Juan Carlos and driver Henry truly treated us like we were friends and family that they had known for years! I really felt like if someone was visiting me in my Country and I was trying to show them around and they were a dear friend or family member that the way I would treat them is exactly the way that Juan Carlos treated each of us!! He is so kind and so passionate and he really cares to show us the best experience possible!! He asked the group in the beginning which animals we were most hoping to see and he found every single one, even looking while we were driving in between locations and then asking Henry to find safe places to pull off the road it was really amazing they worked together so well as a team!! When at each location on the tours I saw many people walking around not on our tour and all the things they were missing, this tour is so worth the money! This to our company does limit the size of each tour which is great because we passed many much larger groups from other companies and I could tell that they were not getting the personal experience that we were. This has definitely been one of the highlights of my trip, Juan Carlos is so knowledgeable and so good at finding animals/insects/plants- I can't remember how many times myself and other people in the group were asking him how did he even see that animal in the first place??? He carries a scope and is really helpful in positioning the phone so you get great pictures and great videos! The service is top notch and he was considerate to everyone in our group and their specific needs! Juan Carlos family has lived in Costa Rica for many generations and he even described experiences of his grandfather telling him what it was like living through the eruption in 1968 and it was such a great experience to really understand the culture of the area and what happened! This tour was so well organized, they knew exactly when to be at each location and how to avoid the crowds/ navigate busy areas like Mistico so we did not need to wait very long to cross the canopy bridges. Even though this tour has many activities and it is a busy day in no way is it an exhausting day there's plenty of time for breaks and plenty of time to recover between activities! I feel like it is absolutely the best way to see these three areas, and their lunch is outstanding! The tour company does a really nice job if anyone has dietary restrictions and I think in our group everyone had completely clean plates at the end of the meal!

Even the day after the tour I was walking to go shop and I hear a van behind me and Juan Carlos voice telling me hi!🤣🤣 Such a strange coincidence, somehow he is everywhere 🤣🤣

Water was supplied. No plastic bottles on hanging bridge tour. 500 steps to waterfalls. Great way to knock out top 3 experiences in 1 day. Guide is the clincher. Brian is the best

This tour was long but worth every minute because we got to see so much. We started at Mistico Park with all the hanging bridges which can be scary at first because of the height but always felt safe. The wildlife is everywhere. We saw a toucan, monkeys, a tarantula, a yellow viper, beautifully colored frogs, and tons of insects many of which we had not seen before. From the park, we left to hike the Arenal Volcano where we saw more wildlife, beautiful plants and flowers, a stunning view of the volcano and so much more. Next, we had a great lunch at a local Soda on the way to our next adventure; a hike to the La Fortuna waterfall. Caution: the climb up and down is not easy with 500 steps each way. However, taking a refreshing dip at the base of a waterfall was all worth it. The water was cold but bearable, and the view of the waterfall simply breathtaking. Overall an exhausting but amazing day thanks in great part to our tour guide, Luis Jose a/k/a Chino, and our driver, Argenio. Chino’s knowledge and love of Costa Rican wildlife and vegetation was palpable and truly made the experience one we will never forget. Kudos!
