Floating Safari on the Peñas Blancas River offers a relaxing way to enjoy the abundant wildlife that surrounds the banks of this river. The trip begins with about twenty minutes in our transportation from Fortuna to the river. For the river tour, inflatable rafts and paddles are used to navigate the river, the trip lasts approximately 2 hours, during which you will have the opportunity to see much of Costa Rica's wildlife and have an interactive conversation with your guide. At the end of the river, you will arrive at a farm, where the owner is a well-known Costa Rican horse breeder and trainer. His wife cooks delicious homemade snacks, drips coffee and prepares natural sodas. By the way, everything you eat at this farm comes directly from his land.
We will stop for all group members at their respective hotels/meeting points at the designated time. This trip usually takes between 45 minutes to 1:30hrs.
This is the entrance to the river. Our guide upon arrival will begin to set up our river equipment and we will have time to use the restrooms and enjoy the scenery while our team finishes setting up the river equipment.
Descent down the Peñas Blancas River. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours, during which you will have the opportunity to see much of Costa Rica's wildlife and have an interactive conversation with your guide.
This is our disembarkation point where we will spend approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival, our staff will stow the life jackets and paddles and accompany you to the local farm where we will enjoy a delicious snack. The facilities have restrooms and while you enjoy your snack our staff will finish getting the equipment ready to return.
